ABC Aged and Disability Services is seeking Continence Nurse Specialists to provide Continence Assessments and Management Plans to individuals in the community.

The Role

Support clients in the community, promoting continence and managing incontinence.  Connecting client goals and aspirations to their Continence Management.

Duties

  • Conduct continence assessments in the community
  • Develop recommendation on Continence Promotion and Management
  • Provide reports for Referring Agencies including Continence Related Assistive Technology Assessments
  • Provide recommendation on Containment Aids if required.
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Work in consultation with other health care members
  • Champion client needs in-line with their Goals and Aspirations
  • Work with individuals and support organisations to identify the best Continence Aids and Medical Consumables for the individual requirements

What you will need

  • Minimum 3 years recent clinical nursing experience
  • Work rights and capacity to work in Australia
  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Current Working with Children, Disability and Aged Check (can easily be applied for)
  • Flu Vaccination
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Commitment to quality patient care
  • Access to Registered and reliable motor vehicle
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in the area of Continence
  • Recent experience in Catheterisation and Catheter Management – male, suprapubic, female would be beneficial
